BACM and Kids Care Packs

List of items that St. Paul's Moore Memorial UMC will provide for BACM each month through 2009.

Stock up on items as you see them on sale:    

February - Toilet Paper

March - Spaghetti Sauce                          April - Baking Mixes (cakes, muffins, etc.)

May - Peanut Butter                                 June - Canned Vegetables

July - Pasta (elbow macaroni, etc.)          August - Kool-Aid Drink Mixes

September - Cereal                                October - Instant Potatoes

November - Canned Beef Stew               December - Canned Soup

 

 

 

Military Care Packs

Care Packs - for Service Men and Women

Suggested Care Packages:

Snack Items: cookies, crackers, slim jims, beef jerky, pringles, trail mix, candy gum, life savers, tuna (pouches preferred), cans of Chef Boyardee, hot chocolate, coffee and coffee supplies

Hygiene Items: mouthwash, foot powder, toothbrushes, toiletries, gel shaving cream, Q-tips, lotions, lip balm, eye drops and toilet paper

Socks: white tube socks, white quarter length (for summer)

Misc. Items: batteries, books, magazines, DVD’s (current movies), phone cards for overseas, letter writing material, board games, card games, plastic spoons, battery operated mini fans, bug spray, disposable cameras, flash lights, fly strips/swatters, sunglasses (black), sweat bands, harmonicas and kazoos

SPECIAL NOTES:

For Females: mark box ("for female soldier")

Keep snack items separate from others

Pack shampoos, lotions, etc. in plastic baggies

ITEMS NOT TO SEND:

Anything that melts

Waterless hand cleaner/sanitizer (baby wipes preferred)

Sunscreen (already have too much)

*We plan to ship items to our servicemen and servicewomen quarterly. The next shipment is in the month of:  February*

 

Coming Events

The Outreach Committee will meet quarterly:  April 5, July 12, and October 4 at 6:00 p.m.

We are evaluating the possibiity of holding a "Hoop Shoot" event this spring or summer.  If you are interested in helping with this project, please seen an Outreach Committee member.
